Founder + CEO
David is the Principal, founder, and heart of Webber + Studio. His work as a distinguished architect has been recognized nationally and internationally. His commitment to both his craft and his team is reflected in the many award-winning designs and satisfied clients the studio continues to create.
Born and raised in Austin, TX, David achieved his Bachelor of Architecture with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He founded Webber + Studio in 1997. He is a registered architect in several states.
David’s commitment to his craft is evidenced not only by the award-winning designs he creates, but also by the exemplary team he leads. In addition to his numerous accomplishments as a distinguished architect, David is a gifted manager, mentor, and friend to each and every young designer he works with. He is passionate about building a better world and has served on the Board of Directors for Frameworks Community Development Corp., the Board of Directors for the Ballet Austin, AIA Austin’s Facilities Committee, and was a Co-Chair for the AIA National Committee on Design at the Spring 2017 Conference.
Managing Principal - International Projects
Luis A. Rodriguez is a creative and experienced leader and designer with demonstrated success in international leisure, master planned, custom residential and multi-family projects. He’s managed teams from conceptual through construction phases in exotic and unique destinations. Luis bridges communication between owners, developers, and technical disciplines, contractors and regulatory agencies; he has a natural ability to assemble, nurture and mentor young designers, or collaborate with world class colleagues.
An explorer by heart and trade, the pursuit of knowledge and projects has driven Luis to South and Central America, Mexico and Southern Europe. A facilitator at heart, he works with clients and friends in pioneering sites, capturing development opportunities, breaking ground and delivering award winning results. His Costa Rica based firm was established in 1997, and it expanded and matured along with the growing leisure and expat markets in Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua. He positioned and aligned the firm to provide insource services and consultation to mega-development projects.
Luis came to us from Costa Rica via his second home, Austin. He fell in love with ATX while obtaining his BArch at the University of Texas, but has practiced as far north as Maine. Influenced by such diverse environments, he is passionate about design and vernacular architecture. Luis believes that a project’s design and construction solutions are found nearby, often expressed and resulting in sustainable and timeless designs.
Managing Principal - Residential Architecture
Thomas Tornbjerg is the Managing Principal for Residential Architecture at Webber + Studio. Thomas holds a Master of Architecture as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
In the 12 years prior to joining Webber + Studio, Thomas was the sole principal at Tornbjerg Design, a progressive, design driven, professionally licensed architecture firm focusing on custom-residential and development work. The office sought to leverage backgrounds in engineering and construction to realize Architecture that is highly resolved, technically competent and materially efficient. The work of Tornbjerg Design was featured in many home tours and several publications.
Prior to starting his own practice, Thomas spent six years at Bercy Chen Studio. During his tenure at Bercy Chen, Thomas served as both project architect and construction manager on The Cascading Creek House and The Peninsula Residence, steering the projects from initial client meetings through design, detailing, drawing, and construction.
Prior to his time at Bercy Chen Studio, Thomas worked five years with the consulting structural engineering firms of Encotech Engineering and Conrad Engineering.
Tom originally hails from Denmark and has spent the bulk of the last four decades in Texas. He finds frequent inspiration in the architecture and design of Scandinavia while being rooted in the landscape and traditions of Texas. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, daughter and son.

Executive Advisor
Jeremy Zick leads with a vision and as CEO it’s his job to make opportunities happen every day. Whether that be spotting deals for real estate development projects, streamlining what might seem impossible, or strategically spotting what others might miss–Jeremy works to monetize how a strong desire for a sense of community drives the needs of today’s business and development world. In his words: anyone can create a blueprint; it’s how that blueprint adds value, improves lives, and elevates sought-after lifestyles that define success.
A world traveler, sailor, and musician, Jeremy returned to the U.S. after previously leading Lifeafar in Medellin, Colombia. As president there, he led the expansion of this travel lifestyle + investment + asset management company from a small startup to a team of more than 100+ people in five Latin American cities and two countries. An architect and designer by training, Jeremy loves rolling up his sleeves and getting dirty while overseeing business operations, recruiting top executive talent, and building brands that span the globe. His experience building a company from scratch in a developing country has provided the entrepreneurial expertise and track record to spot and translate deals, hit financial projections, and serve as a leader in the global real estate development world.
Jeremy holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he earned honors in sustainable and green architecture.
Director Of Operations + Associate
Stefan is a highly experienced architect whose level of commitment, expertise, and enthusiasm translates into unmatched value for our clients. As director of the firm’s operations across all studios, Stefan manages the architectural process ensuring helping to develop improved tools and train the staff on optimal management strategies. His years of experience, superior attention to detail, and technical steadfastness benefit clients and colleagues alike. Stefan is highly process oriented and efficiency driven which he applies to help build an environment where project managers can be successful. He is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas #27107
Born in Würzburg, Germany, Stefan Bader graduated with a Diplom Engineer degree in architecture from the Technische Universität München. He was a Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture at the Center of Sustainable Development. Stefan achieved a Master of Science in Sustainable Design at UTSoA and, upon graduating, worked for 2 years at Rhode Partners with focus on residential, mixed-used residential, and hospitality projects in Austin, prior to joining Webber + Studio. Stefan is fluent in German, English, and French. Outside of the office, he enjoys coaching his son at soccer, serving his younger community as Cub Master, or spending time with his Bernedoodle.
Senior Project Manager + Associate
Marek’s primary career focus has been on multifamily and commercial projects. His wealth of knowledge in architecture, construction coordination, and project management facilitate speedy, high-quality design and methodical execution from preliminary analysis through the construction phase. He is passionate about large-scale building and construction; you will often find him on site managing the technical translation of complex 2D designs into 3D realities. Marek is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas #25630 NCARB Certificate #82823
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County, Marek went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science as well as a Masters in Architecture at the University of Maryland. Marek embraces the dichotomy of build-ability, aesthetics, and attention to detail. Prior to joining Webber + Studio as a project manager in 2016, he worked at Bonstra | Haresign Architects in Washington D.C. for 8 years. Marek is fluent in Czech, English, and German.
Senior Project Manager
Mr. Garza has over 17 years of professional experience in a range of project types including office, residential, restaurant/hospitality, and industrial. Born and raised in San Antonio, James earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University.
Later, he earned a Master of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia. James brings a strong design sense and focuses on a client-centric approach to each project.
He is passionate about problem solving and seeks to deliver beautiful yet functional solutions to his projects. In addition, he has a strong interest in graphic design, marketing, and branding and how those integrate with architectural design.
Office Manager
Ransom manages the Austin office and is the firm’s primary business specialist. He oversees the contractual and billing processes, and his years of experience at the Webber + Studio front desk make him uniquely able to guide clients through sensitive financial matters. He also acts as the firm’s chief technology guru, maintaining the complex tools and software we use to effectively execute our roles.
When not in the office, Ransom likes baking and spending time outdoors with David and their border collie, Beatrice.
Project Manager
Robert has always had a passion for architecture. He moved from Berkley, California to New York City his 9th grade year, and upon graduating, decided to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Miami. After graduating he moved back to “the Big Apple” and worked on several high-end, custom residential projects.
He enjoys honing in on the details where his interest in woodworking, and fabrication serves him well. He’s known to be focused, and highly driven with a desire to please his clients.
Robert loves to travel, and listen to a wide range of music.
Senior Project Designer + Associate
As an integral member of the multifamily design team, Ray applies his innate leadership skills to the execution and coordination of complex projects. His innovative, conceptual approach to problem-solving combined with his mastery of leading-edge technical tools and 3D modeling software support the Webber + Studio mission to provide efficient, optimized design without sacrificing quality.
Ray hails from San Antonio and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He enjoys home improvement projects, music, and spending quality time with his wife and dog.
Senior Project Designer + Associate
Miguel is a precise, detail-oriented residential designer able to successfully execute every phase of the home design process, from preliminary coordination to design development to construction management. He is well-versed in the benefits of blending efficiency with excellency, having served many years ushering high-end design from start to completion across a diverse portfolio of clients and budgets.
Miguel is a Texas native and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. When he’s not designing or acting as our in-house photographer, you can find Miguel bouldering, rollerblading, or riding his bike. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Senior Project Designer
James Amos has over seventeen years of professional architectural experience in a range of projects including retail, food service/hospitality, office, residential, mixed-use and adaptive reuse.
He earned a Bachelor of Architecture with honors at the School of Architecture at University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, an internationally prestigious multi-disciplined design school. During his time at UC, James studied under the Architectural Master, David L. Niland. Before working with Webber + Studio, Architects, James worked with notable firms including Antenora Architects, VLK Architects, Kohn Pedersen Fox International (London), FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati) and Earl Swensson Associates (Nashville).
Additionally, James has seven years of experience in commercial real estate appraising.
Project Designer
Madison hails from Winston Salem, NC where she attended Appalachian State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Building Science. In 2018, she was the sole recipient of the Building Science Faculty award for Design Achievement, as the Senior lead of a student-led design build cohort.
She gained well-rounded experience working at a structural engineering firm, and then found her calling in design as a rising star at Webber + Studio. She loves the collaborative and open environment and her infectious enthusiasm is enjoyed by all.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and taking her dog, Milo, out for a swim.
International Team Coordinator
Lenny is an Architect with a specialization in Urban Law. Lenny manages and leads her growing team of Staff Designers demonstrating leadership excellence. She is an adaptable strategic manager who works to keep her team united and committed while promoting team growth toward areas of passion for each team member. Lenny loves to travel, and explore the varied architecture the world offers. She enjoys the pursuit of her long time passion for volleyball and is currently exploring and learning the technique of macramé
International Team Coordinator + Senior Staff Designer
Carolina Botero loves to challenge herself and grow in knowledge. An architect by profession, she also holds a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Management from the National University of Colombia in Medellin.
She has extensive experience in project coordination, which allows her to have a holistic view of projects, providing efficiency and effectiveness to each process.
Carolina is convinced that teamwork is fundamental to achieve every goal. She always seeks to implement methodologies that contribute to the company’s objectives, contributing with her great leadership skills, love for design, and the expertise acquired through her professional history in architecture.
One of her great passions is cinema. She also loves family time and making crafts in her free time.
Senior Staff Designer
Oscar is a Mexican Architect who has always been passionate about exploring numerous fields that intersect with Architecture, including Construction, Management, and Graphical Representation. He possesses a Bachelor of Architecture from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, a Master’s in Construction Management from Monterrey Institute of Technology, and a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University. His curiosity has led him to participate in diverse projects including industrial, residential, multifamily and commercial. His architectural interests include Sustainability, Social Inclusion, and Health systems. His biggest motivation is to create Architecture that helps improve quality of life and address current social and environmental needs. He is very detail-oriented and committed to listening to the needs of clients to achieve valuable projects. When he is not designing, he is usually reading, practicing soccer, and connecting with nature.
Project Designer
Tomas has a Masters degree in Architecture with a special emphasis on Design Management from the University of Melbourne (Australia). With over fifteen years of extensive national and international experience, dedicated to the design and management of architectural projects, he is a great asset to the multifamily and commercial team.
When he is not collaborating with the U.S. and Colombian based team, Tomas may be found sailing, or cooking and trying new recipes.
Senior Staff Designer
Andres’ agility and commitment to good design benefit each and every project he works on. He is a problem-solver and analyzer, and his analytical approach to work ensures careful execution of even the most complex design problems.
Andres is a native of Medellin, Colombia, where he is licensed as an architect. He spends his free time dancing, playing soccer, and spending time with his family.
Senior Staff Designer
Sebastian is an architect with experience in multi-family home design, hospitality projects, and technical systems coordination. With teamwork skills, goal orientation and achievement of objectives. He has mastered different modeling programs such as Archicad, Sketchup, and Revit. Using the BIM modeling methodology to guarantee risk reduction and optimization of construction processes. BIM REVIT certified.
Senior Staff Designer
Kelly is an experienced designer who enjoys the challenge of supporting our Multifamily team on a wide array of development and commercial projects. Her talents as a painter and illustrator bleed into her design approach, lending an artistic touch to the multifamily efforts of our team. Her advanced knowledge of the BIM tools that drive our profession make her an invaluable member of the design team in Colombia. Kelly’s free time is spent playing volleyball or hiking.
Staff Designer
Viviana is a passionate designer who enjoys studying urban design, history, and architecture. She is an integral part of the design team and brings enthusiasm with a strong foundation in plastic arts, lending to a fluid stylistic approach. Viviana had an early opportunity to apply her architecture skills in her first home which she designed while she was in college. She graduated with an architecture degree from San Buenaventura University in Medellin.
Staff Designer
Ana Vélez is an architect specializing in research and development. She obtained her degree from San Buenaventura University, Medellin, in 2016. Her experience in institutional and residential design is something she is eager to build upon. Her coworkers see her as open to collaboration professionally and personally. She loves the family atmosphere at Webber + Studio
She spends her free time taking care of her family and planning activities with her little son. She also likes to swim and connect with nature.
Staff Designer
Susana Gómez is a graduate architect with a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Her great passion for landscape design makes her a great asset to our company, complementing our designs with a high degree of thoroughness and attention to detail.
She had the awesome opportunity to design the green corridors project for the city of Medellín, during her internship with the Mayor’s office, and enjoys being able to drive by and see her work in person.
She is passionate about travel and is fluent in her native language of Spanish, English, German and Portuguese.
Staff Designer
Yorman Moreno, was born in Medellín-Colombia, and is an Architect from the University of San Buenaventura.
He has worked in the private and public spheres, participating in various projects from single-family development, custom residential, multi-family, commercial, and renovation. He enjoys being involved from start to finish and doesn’t mind taking on new challenges. He is collaborative and appreciates each step of the process.
He is passionate about sports in general, and regularly practices soccer and mountain biking.
Staff Designer
Daniel is an architect from Bogota, Columbia, who obtained his degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
He has participated in various architectural contests and loves to challenge himself. Daniel’s experience in residential projects and reforms serves him well as he supports the Austin staff. He maintains an open and curious mindset, and seeks to be able to help use the power of architecture to improve the quality of life of the client.
On his off days, you might find him riding his bicycle around the city, exploring historic architectural scenes, and spending time with his family.
