Founder + Chief Innovation Officer and Managing Principal of Custom Residential Architecture
David is the Principal, founder, and heart of Webber + Studio. His work as a distinguished architect has been recognized nationally and internationally. His commitment to both his craft and his team is reflected in the many award-winning designs and satisfied clients the studio continues to create.
Born and raised in Austin, TX, David achieved his Bachelor of Architecture with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He founded Webber + Studio in 1997. He is a registered architect in several states.
David’s commitment to his craft is evidenced not only by the award-winning designs he creates, but also by the exemplary team he leads. In addition to his numerous accomplishments as a distinguished architect, David is a gifted manager, mentor, and friend to each and every young designer he works with. He is passionate about building a better world and has served on the Board of Directors for Frameworks Community Development Corp., the Board of Directors for the Ballet Austin, AIA Austin’s Facilities Committee, and was a Co-Chair for the AIA National Committee on Design at the Spring 2017 Conference.
Chief Executive Officer
Jeremy Zick leads with a vision and as CEO it’s his job to make opportunities happen every day. Whether that be spotting deals for real estate development projects, streamlining what might seem impossible, or strategically spotting what others might miss–Jeremy works to monetize how a strong desire for a sense of community drives the needs of today’s business and development world. In his words: anyone can create a blueprint; it’s how that blueprint adds value, improves lives, and elevates sought-after lifestyles that define success.
A world traveler, sailor, and musician, Jeremy returned to the U.S. after previously leading Lifeafar in Medellin, Colombia. As president there, he led the expansion of this travel lifestyle + investment + asset management company from a small startup to a team of more than 100+ people in five Latin American cities and two countries. An architect and designer by training, Jeremy loves rolling up his sleeves and getting dirty while overseeing business operations, recruiting top executive talent, and building brands that span the globe. His experience building a company from scratch in a developing country has provided the entrepreneurial expertise and track record to spot and translate deals, hit financial projections, and serve as a leader in the global real estate development world.
Jeremy holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he earned honors in sustainable and green architecture.
Managing Principal - International Projects
Luis A. Rodriguez is a creative and experienced leader and designer with demonstrated success in international leisure, master planned, custom residential and multi-family projects. He’s managed teams from conceptual through construction phases in exotic and unique destinations. Luis bridges communication between owners, developers, and technical disciplines, contractors and regulatory agencies; he has a natural ability to assemble, nurture and mentor young designers, or collaborate with world class colleagues.
An explorer by heart and trade, the pursuit of knowledge and projects has driven Luis to South and Central America, Mexico and Southern Europe. A facilitator at heart, he works with clients and friends in pioneering sites, capturing development opportunities, breaking ground and delivering award winning results. His Costa Rica based firm was established in 1997, and it expanded and matured along with the growing leisure and expat markets in Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua. He positioned and aligned the firm to provide insource services and consultation to mega-development projects.
Luis came to us from Costa Rica via his second home, Austin. He fell in love with ATX while obtaining his BArch at the University of Texas, but has practiced as far north as Maine. Influenced by such diverse environments, he is passionate about design and vernacular architecture. Luis believes that a project’s design and construction solutions are found nearby, often expressed and resulting in sustainable and timeless designs.
Managing Principal - Commercial
Managing Principal, Michael Antenora AIA, resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and three daughters.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Michael received his undergraduate degree in Architecture from Kent State University (OH), and a Post-Professional Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991.
Michael’s advisors for his Master Thesis, “Continuity in the Design and Construction Process” were the late Charles W. Moore, FAIA, and Former UT Architecture Dean Lawrence Speck, FAIA.
Michael headed his own firm, Antenora Architects, for over two decades where his work was recognized with numerous awards and accolades for design, construction, historic preservation, community service and business leadership. Most notably, were his Penn Field project, a convention tour site for the 2007 AIA National convention, and his elegant adaptive re-use of the Cotton Gin at the Hutto Co-op, which was awarded a 2017 National AIA Award for Architecture.
Director Of Operations + Associate
Stefan is a highly experienced architect whose level of commitment, expertise, and enthusiasm translates into unmatched value for our clients. As director of the firm’s operations across all studios, Stefan manages the architectural process ensuring helping to develop improved tools and train the staff on optimal management strategies. His years of experience, superior attention to detail, and technical steadfastness benefit clients and colleagues alike. Stefan is highly process oriented and efficiency driven which he applies to help build an environment where project managers can be successful. He is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas #27107
Born in Würzburg, Germany, Stefan Bader graduated with a Diplom Engineer degree in architecture from the Technische Universität München. He was a Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture at the Center of Sustainable Development. Stefan achieved a Master of Science in Sustainable Design at UTSoA and, upon graduating, worked for 2 years at Rhode Partners with focus on residential, mixed-used residential, and hospitality projects in Austin, prior to joining Webber + Studio. Stefan is fluent in German, English, and French. Outside of the office, he enjoys coaching his son at soccer, serving his younger community as Cub Master, or spending time with his Bernedoodle.
Senior Project Manager + Associate
Marek’s primary career focus has been on multifamily and commercial projects. His wealth of knowledge in architecture, construction coordination, and project management facilitate speedy, high-quality design and methodical execution from preliminary analysis through the construction phase. He is passionate about large-scale building and construction; you will often find him on site managing the technical translation of complex 2D designs into 3D realities. Marek is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas #25630 NCARB Certificate #82823
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County, Marek went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science as well as a Masters in Architecture at the University of Maryland. Marek embraces the dichotomy of build-ability, aesthetics, and attention to detail. Prior to joining Webber + Studio as a project manager in 2016, he worked at Bonstra | Haresign Architects in Washington D.C. for 8 years. Marek is fluent in Czech, English, and German.
Office Manager
Ransom manages the Austin office and is the firm’s primary business specialist. He oversees the contractual and billing processes, and his years of experience at the Webber + Studio front desk make him uniquely able to guide clients through sensitive financial matters. He also acts as the firm’s chief technology guru, maintaining the complex tools and software we use to effectively execute our roles.
When not in the office, Ransom likes baking and spending time outdoors with David and their border collie, Beatrice.
International Team Coordinator
Lenny is an Architect with a specialization in Urban Law. Lenny manages and leads her growing team of Staff Designers demonstrating leadership excellence. She is an adaptable strategic manager who works to keep her team united and committed while promoting team growth toward areas of passion for each team member. Lenny loves to travel, and explore the varied architecture the world offers. She enjoys the pursuit of her long time passion for volleyball and is currently exploring and learning the technique of macramé
