Open Architecture Downtown Austin

Asian Influenced Architecture
Webber + Studio's Balinese inspired Tarrytown House is featured in the new Schiffer Publishing book 'Asian Influenced Architecture & Design' by E. Ashley Rooney. The book is due for release April 10th, 2010.

KXAN Architectural Gem

The Studio's Impluvium House is now part of "Elsewhere, TX" running concurrent with the 2009 TSA Convention in Houston. The exhibit features significant projects completed since the year 2000 throughout Texas, and will run through October 25th at the Architecture Center Houston.

Forrest Frazier, RA
Forrest Frazier joined the Studio in early 2008 and has recently completed his final ARE. He is now a Registered Architect in the state of Texas, and our fourth staff architect, joining David Webber, Kathy Panak and Tim Derrington

Jewell Street House
The Jewell Street house was chosen for this month's cover of Cygnus Publishing's Qualified Remodeler magazine. The feature by the magazine's editor Patrick O'Toole focuses on the homes' green design and construction.
David Webber was a presenter at Austin Energy's Green Building Seminar on "Easy Living for a Lifetime". David's talk posed the question; "What if the need for accessibility inspired revolutionary design ideas?"

The Jewell St. remodel and addition is being featured on the NARI tour of remodeled homes. The tour will be held the weekend of October 18th - 19th.

Texas Housing Conference
David Webber was invited to participate as a panelist at the Texas Housing Authorities 2008 conference. The class on Green Building for multi-family projects focused on the history of sustainable Architecture, the economics of building green and affordability.

Cape Cod Eclectic
Remodeler magazine featured our Beverly House for a story on green remodeling in their June 2008 issue. The story by Patrick O'Toole is entitled "Cape Cod Eclectic", after the term coined by David Webber to describe the architectural style of the house. Photos for the feature were by Thomas McConnell.
Five 5 Star Rated Remodels
We have received our Fifth Five Star Rating from the Austin Green Building Program for a remodel project. The Jewell St. remodel received the Five Stars to make us one of the top rated Green Remodel designers in Austin.

Barkitecture Austin 2007
Webber + Studio designed and built a doghouse for Barkitecture Austin 2007, benefitting Austin amimal rescue organizations. The doghouses will be auctioned on 10_20_07 between Noon and 5PM.
